Annehette Troost’s art is a gentle celebration of creation, blending delicate detail, natural beauty, and a sense of quiet wonder.
There’s a quiet reverence in the way Annehette Troost paints the natural world. From delicate botanicals to expansive South African landscapes, her work invites a slower gaze, one that notices the intricate design, softness, and wonder woven through creation. After completing her BA in Visual Art at Stellenbosch University and spending several years as an art educator, Annehette stepped fully into her own creative practice. Today, she paints full-time, working primarily in watercolour and oil to explore themes of reflection, rest, and awe. Annehette describes herself as a lifelong lover of art and a devoted admirer of “the ultimate Creator God”, drawing constant inspiration from the beauty of creation around her. Alongside her artistic journey, she is a wife and mother of three, creating from a life rich in family, faith, and everyday wonder.
